Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland
Built in 1794, 63 Merrion Square served as an elegant and ‘substantial Dwelling House’ for Dublin’s elite for over a century before its acquisition by the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland in 1917. This unique historical tour of Society House, Dublin’s only fully intact Georgian townhouse – from its coal cellars to the original coach house and stables beyond the garden – will explore stories of past and present through architecture and decorative arts and include a thematically curated archival session with the Society’s diverse collections of manuscripts, photographs, maps and rare books.
